Damp and mould remediation · Essex and East London

Damp and mould treatment that fixes the cause

Mould comes back when the cause is left in place. We find out why it is there, treat it, fix the ventilation, leak or gutter behind it, and give you a written report.

Why mould keeps coming back

Most mould in homes and care settings is caused by condensation, a leak, or water getting in from outside. Painting over it hides the problem for a few weeks. Fixing the cause stops it.

  • Condensation from poor ventilation in bathrooms, kitchens and bedrooms
  • Leaks from pipes, roofs and failed seals
  • Penetrating damp from blocked gutters, cracked render or slipped tiles

The rules

Awaab's Law has applied to social housing since 27 October 2025, with deadlines for dealing with damp and mould. It is expected to reach private rented homes, though no date has been set. In care homes, CQC expects premises to be clean and properly maintained.

Your report

After every job you get a short written report with before and after photos. It is evidence for your records, your inspector, your client or a deposit dispute.

Common questions

Is black mould dangerous?

Mould can cause or worsen breathing problems, allergies and asthma, and the risk is greater for older people, young children and anyone with a health condition. It should be dealt with promptly.

Will you just paint over it?

No. We treat the mould and fix what is causing it, otherwise it comes back.

Do you work for tenants directly?

We usually work for the landlord, agent or care provider. If you are a tenant, report the problem to your landlord, who can contact us.
