Common parts that work for every resident
- Stair and corridor handrails, including colour-contrasting rails
- External handrails and ramps at entrances
- Contrast strips and anti-slip coatings on step edges
- Roof edge guardrails and walkways for safe roof access
- Threshold ramps at communal doors
Roofs, gutters and damp in shared areas
Blocked gutters and roof leaks are the most common cause of damp in stairwells and top-floor flats. We clear, repair and replace, and treat any mould they have caused.
Planned visits on a fixed price
A planned maintenance contract covers scheduled inspections of common parts, gutters and roofs, with priority for reactive work and one fixed annual cost.
Common questions
Can you put up notices for residents before work starts?
Yes. We can provide notices for communal areas so residents know what is happening and when.
Do you look after communal entrance doors?
Door work, including automatic and fire doors, is handled by our sister company, Essex Door & Window Repairs.
